Why Upgrade Your Suspension

Upgrading your suspension is one of the most effective ways to improve vehicle stability, comfort, and capability. Whether you're towing heavy caravans, carrying work equipment, or travelling off road, choosing the right components such as shocks, lift kits, leaf springs, or a certified GVM upgrade ensures your vehicle operates safely and performs consistently. A high quality suspension upgrade enhances braking control, reduces sway, improves load management, and increases durability across harsh Australian conditions.

How to Choose the Right Suspension for Your Vehicle

The ideal suspension setup varies depending on vehicle type and driving style. Fulcrum helps drivers of 4WDs, sports and performance vehicles, passenger cars, and commercial vehicles make informed decisions when selecting between 2 inch lift kits, 3 inch lift kits, heavy duty leaf springs, performance shock absorbers, or engineered GVM upgrades. We consider vehicle weight, accessories, handling goals, load requirements, and intended terrain to ensure the chosen components deliver the right combination of comfort, precision, and capability.

Vehicle Compatibility Information

Fulcrum provides tailored suspension solutions for a wide range of vehicles, including performance models, sedans, hatchbacks, commercial vans, SUVs, utes, and 4WDs. Whether you’re seeking improved cornering response for a performance car, replacing car shocks on a daily driver, installing a 4wd lift kit for touring, or upgrading to heavy duty 4x4 shock absorbers, Fulcrum ensures every recommendation suits your specific make, model, and driving needs.

Please note: 4x4 suspension products such as lift kits and GVM upgrades are only available for 4WDs.

Fulcrum Key Products

Fulcrum’s product range is engineered to meet the diverse needs of everyday drivers, performance enthusiasts, and heavy duty users. Every product is evaluated to ensure durability, safety, and consistent performance across Australian conditions.

Leaf Springs

Fulcrum supplies premium leaf springs designed for vehicles that regularly carry heavy loads or tow. Ideal for commercial utes, touring 4WDs, and work vehicles, our leaf spring options maintain correct ride height, reduce sag, and provide stable handling under varying loads. When paired with quality shock absorbers, they deliver long term comfort and control.

Lift Kits

Fulcrum’s lift kits improve ground clearance, stance, and overall capability. Available as 2 inch lift kits, 3 inch lift kits, and full 4x4 lift kits, these upgrades maintain correct suspension geometry while enhancing both off road performance and on road stability. Fulcrum also offers sports-oriented lift solutions for performance SUVs seeking improved body control and grip.

GVM Upgrades

A GVM upgrade is essential for vehicles carrying heavy tools, towing caravans, or running multiple accessories. Fulcrum’s engineered GVM upgrade packages increase legal load capacity while improving control, braking stability, and compliance. Suitable for commercial fleets, touring 4WDs, and any vehicle requiring safer load management.

Shock Absorbers and Struts

Fulcrum offers a broad selection of shock absorbers and struts, from everyday comfort-focused car shocks to performance upgrades designed to enhance road holding and steering precision. Our range includes 4x4 shock absorbers for rugged environments and 4wd shocks for heavy duty use. Each option improves tyre contact, reduces sway, and ensures predictable handling across all terrains and driving styles.

Services

Fulcrum’s services are delivered by trained suspension specialists equipped with advanced diagnostic and installation tools, ensuring accuracy, safety, and long term reliability.

Free Suspension Check

Fulcrum offers a free 1,000 kilometre suspension check after installation. This ensures the newly installed leaf springs, shock absorbers, lift kit, or GVM upgrade has settled correctly and continues to operate at peak performance. This service is suitable for all vehicle types, from performance cars to 4WDs.

Wheel Alignment Service

Fulcrum provides precise wheel alignment services to improve tyre life, cornering stability, and overall handling. Proper alignment is essential for performance vehicles seeking responsive steering, passenger cars needing balanced tyre wear, and 4WDs running lift kits or heavy-duty setups.

A complimentary wheel alignment is included when installation is completed via Click and Fit. Standalone pricing includes:

Front wheel alignment: $98

Front and rear alignment: $178

4x4 wheel alignment (non shim): $122

Whether it’s a performance-oriented car wheel alignment or a specialised 4x4 wheel alignment, Fulcrum technicians ensure a precise and reliable setup.

GVM and Towing Assessments

Fulcrum provides specialised GVM and towing assessments through our 16 certified branded stores. These assessments evaluate a vehicle’s weight limits, load distribution, and towing capability across 4WDs, commercial vehicles, and some passenger platforms where carrying loads is common.

This expert analysis helps customers understand whether their vehicle is operating within legal limits and identifies the most suitable GVM upgrade for their specific setup. Our specialists assess accessories, payloads, suspension condition, and towing requirements to recommend an engineered solution that improves safety and compliance.

Once the correct upgrade is chosen, Fulcrum’s certified suspension technicians install the complete GVM upgrade in accordance with Australian Design Rules and state certification laws. This ensures the vehicle remains legal, structurally sound, and capable of safely managing its intended load or towing capacity.
